Santa Photos for Business

How Sande Kids got all their Christmas marketing done for them in 30 minutes.

Last December, Kim from Sande Kids did something most small business owners don't think to do until it's too late: she sorted her Christmas marketing before the silly season chaos hit.

She didn't hire a studio. She didn't brief an agency. She brought her products down to Narrabeen Beach and Santa did the rest.

Here's how it worked

I run Santa photo sessions on the Northern Beaches every year. 400+ families come through across the season. A few years ago I started wondering: what if the brands those families love could be part of it too?

That's the idea behind my Santa Photos for Business sessions. Brands bring their products. Santa brings the magic. I bring 10+ years of production experience (including directing TVCs for big brands within Channel 7's in-house agency) and we make content that actually works!

For Sande Bags, that meant Santa arriving with a Beach Hauler full of gifts. It meant the kids chasing him across the sand hunting down the pressies. It meant the foot brush making a cameo… because even Santa gets sandy feet. The whole thing took 30 minutes. Kim walked away with a full set of edited images she used across her email marketing, socials and website right through the Christmas season.

See! The result? Content that felt real, joyful and completely on-brand because it was shot on the same beach her customers take those bags every weekend.

What makes this different from a product shoot

Anyone can shoot your product on a white background. What's harder is shooting your product inside a moment people actually want to be part of. Santa on a Sydney beach in December is that moment. When your brand is in that frame, it's not just advertising it's content that people share.

Who this is for

These sessions work brilliantly for brands whose products make good gifts, or whose audience includes families. Think:

  • Beverage brands and breweries - imagine Santa carrying a case over his shoulder.

  • Hamper and gifting companies - he's literally the delivery guy!

  • Bakeries and food brands - Christmas treats, delivered by the man himself (maybe minus a few because he loves a sweet treat)

  • Lifestyle and kids brands - this is your natural habitat

  • Anything marketed as the perfect gift for dad, mum, or the family

*Don’t own a brand yourself? That’s ok! Tell a mate who does!

Spots are limited! The season is short and the calendar fills fast.
